3rd BOMBAY

knackard tonight. Today spent ages in the prince of wales museum which now has a long hindi name. Great fun. I especially liked the miniture pictures, massive statues of different gods and tantric section. Was so hot outside today it was good to while away a few hours here and it wasn't packed, which is a rarity in this city.

Prince of Wales museum.
When I left my hotel this morning I got approached by a guy who looked kinda normal. (Not your average dodgy charas/drug pusher type who seems to pop up all over the place) He told me that he was casting western extras for a bollywood movie. He needed 45 people and wondered if I was interested. I don't know why but I trusted him and we got chatting and well tomorrow I;ve got to be outside Mc DOnalds at 6am. I've got a 12 hour day at the bollywood studios ahead of me!! Should be an adventure, God knows what it'll be like but we get free food and will be paid 500 rupees About 7 quid. i'll let you know, if I come out alive! Wish I knew some bollywood actors. Oh well.
Went and walked around the park this afternoon. Full of kids and families. it seems like hardly any children go to school here. then went to my first hindu temple this eve. Was the main one to Malaxshmi (Some female incarnation) Kinda freaked me out with all the incense and spinning around and serious idol worship. Got chatting to a woman who tried to give me the basics of Hinduism in 10 minutes...a full on task. But she was cool and didn't mind all my questions. Back in a taxi (Once I'd found my shoes in the huge pile outside)
Lots of taxis today and the driving is something else here. I just sit calmly in the back thinking, if I'm gonna die I'm gonna die. ALL cars beep their horns ALLthe time. It's like a weird kinda of bird song. right I'm going now. I've booked an "eco hut "(What the hell is that...maybe it just doesn't have a toilet and we all have to shit behind the huts) on palolem beach in Goa for Friday and Saturday. Right bye for now.

Wonder what makes a zoroastrian bank so special?!

Inside VT station. My last view of Bombay as I left for Goa.
