Goa saturday

It's about 8.40 and in a bit I'm gonna go and eat fish on the beach. Had a great day of doing sod all really. Sat on the beach, swum, read, slept and swum a bit more. It's been so hot but I think the suncream and umbrella have saved me. I"m so white but now a shade of pink! if you want to check out where I am staying this is the link www.bhaktikutir.com This link is funny check out the over the top language. I'm so glad I booked in Bombay coz I wouldn't have got in otherwise. Even the deckchairs are proper German manufacturing. (It's a german/goan place) In fact the whole beach is beautiful and everything is SOLID. On other beaches all over the world I've been to it always seems that objects are gonna bend or fall apart as soon as you sit or lean on anything, but not here!! And to top it off not a German in site! Infact it's really quiet. Just had a beer on the beach...(my ayervedic milk drinks and wheat juices are just not touching the spot) the guy I was talking to was saying how it's coming to the end of the season. Westerners have no holiday at the moment but it'll probably pick up over Easter.
Booked my travel to Hampi and Bangalore. Got to go through the travel hell vortex on an over night bus to Hampi. Gonna buy pillow and got more sarongs now. My train to Bangalore is the full monty. Air con class 1 luxury, no more roughing it for me on the train network. 3 days is enough here for me alone, but God what perfect romantic luxury for a couple. I'm off to see some ancient rocks and wander around ancient sites in 40 degree heat...sounds like fun. Think the rat temple might be in Hampi, I'll give that a miss if it is.

Hi Janie

Sounds like heaven in your little spot of German/Goan. Glad you have booked a more upmarket train journey for your next adventure. What experiences you are having!

Keep taking care
Lots of love
Mum
