Goa Sunday

Last night I had to attempt to climb the small hill on the rocks back to my place. It was pitch black and I'd had another few beers with this English guy who was telling me loads of funny stories about his life. We'd been listening to this live music. It was all good fun but when I said good night I realised I had to climb this bloody hill. Luckily I managed to borrow a torch off some corner shop guy (Yes, there are corner shops run by Indians not British!) Jesus,... dogs barking I was wearing flip flops, feeling a bit tired and slightly pissed and then the thought of snakes, rats and scorpions crossed my mind. I managed to find a long stick to fight off attackers shouted out all the way up the hill and I was fine. Tonight I'm taking the road way home by rickshaw!

Today has been just too hot and I've heard that Hampi is gonna be even hotter coz it's inland. Anyway walked to a really quiet beach and got chatting to this English guy who was fishing. Just chilled out with my book and realised that I've just about had enough time here. I love the sea but lounging around all day on my own isn't totally brilliant. It would be better if someone was here with me and better still if I could have a game of backgammon or cards. But no games around. It's not like Turkey or Thailand where there are bar staff always willing to have a game of connect 4 with you! Yes, I know I'm sad!

Right last night in my big hut tonight. Last night I could hear the monkeys screaming at each other, cats shagging and the dogs fighting even my earplugs didn't help and to be honest it was quite fun listening to the complete madness outside. The only problem is I didn't sleep enough so an early one for me tonight I think.

Hi again Jane
Being as no one has passed comment on this blog I thought I would!
I understand about not having anyone to play backgammon with you, I promise you an afternoon of playing with you when you get home, I have been practising on PC.
Take care and PLEASE don't go up dark hills again on your own!!
