Monday

Bought myself an amber necklace last night. God knows if it's the real thing. I made the guy selling it swear on his mother and children's life that it was, and he did. Anyway it doesn't matter if I've been swindled I really love it. The jewellery here so far hasn't really done much for me. It's either big gaudy rocks or something you could have found at Finmere market for about the same price. Today has been cooler which has been fantastic so I've been out longer. Because I had to change some money I've had more money on me than usual. I feel really safe here but to be extra secure I bunged my wad of big notes into the middle section of my facewipes and put the extra wipes back over the top and sealed them back down. An inspired piece of security for when I was swimming.

Having luck putting photos onto facebook but not on here which is a bummer really coz some of you lot don't partake in the facebook farce. Oh well. I think I've just got to be more patient and maybe it'll work.

My Thai toilet shoes are still going strong. (Yes, I have flip flops which are only really worn by Thai people when they enter public toilets) which I bought in Thailand in 1996 and I have worn them every summer. Yes, I do wash them but they are made out of some magical material. They cost me about 50p and are the biggest footware bargain ever!

My over night bus leaves for Hampi at 9.30 tonight. God knows what joys await me. Still haven't got a blow up pillow but at least I've got my jacket and socks handy coz the air con here is fierce. Booked a couple of nights in a small place in Hampi which looked good in the guide. the guy who answered the phone said that he'd send his son to pick me up from the station and asked if a wanted a veg or non veg breakfast...sounds alright to me
